Although I've never been a big fan, I saw Wierd Al perform at Capital Ex. I'll say one thing about the guy - he's a helluva an entertainer! And the best part was that the show was free with admission!
I'd go see him again...and I'm only mildly embarrassed to say that.

He's definitely better live than on albums.
I tend to like a lot of his non-single material, especially the stuff where's he's not parodying a specific song but instead riffing on an artist's general style (Everything You Know is Wrong, for example, or any of his James Taylor murder ballads.)
And I love Albuquerque because I adore shaggy dog stories. I find them wonderfully amusing. The longer the better. I love the ones that end in stupid puns ("Pardon me, Roy--is that the cat that ate your new shoes?") and the ones that just grind to a lame halt ("That dog's not so shaggy.") Listening to a fifteen, twenty minute song just to get to the line "I hate sauerkraut" is a fanstastic experience for me.
I realize this is a sickness.
